Privacy Notice

Who this is about

This notice covers Bell of the Ball and this website. We are an event planning, design, officiating, notary and rental business based in Reno, Nevada, serving Reno, Sparks and Carson City.

What we collect, and when

The consultation form is the only part of this site that collects anything about you. If you fill it in, you give us:

• Your name and email address. Both required — the email is how we reply.
• Your phone number, if you choose to give it. Optional.
• Details about your event — the date or rough timing, the type of event, and whatever you write in the message box.

Everything in that list is information you typed and chose to send. We collect nothing about you before that point, and nothing at all if you read the site and leave.

What we do not do

This is worth stating plainly, because most privacy notices describe practices this site does not have:

• We do not use cookies. This site sets none, which is why you were not asked to accept any.
• We do not run analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, and no other tracking script anywhere on this site.
• We do not build profiles, run advertising, or track you from page to page.
• We have never sold personal information, and we do not intend to. See the Nevada section below.

Who else is involved

Three companies necessarily see something when this site is used:

• Web3Forms delivers the consultation form. When you press Send — and only then — your submission passes through their service on its way to our inbox. They process it to deliver it; they are not given it for their own purposes.
• GitHub hosts this site. Like any web host, their servers record the requests they serve, which includes your IP address. We do not have access to those logs.
• Google Fonts serves the typefaces the site is set in. Loading a font from Google's servers means your browser contacts Google and, as with any request, your IP address is visible to them in doing so.

Those three are the whole list. We do not share your enquiry with anyone else — no lead brokers, no marketing lists, no other vendors.

Whether anyone tracks you across other websites

Nevada asks us to answer this directly. We do not allow third parties to collect information about your activity across different websites through this site. There is no advertising or analytics code here that could do so. Google's font service and our host see individual requests to this site; neither is used to follow you elsewhere.

How long we keep your enquiry

Your enquiry lands in our email inbox and stays there like any other message, so we can find the history if you book with us or come back later. If you would rather it did not, ask us to delete it and we will.

Reviewing, correcting or deleting your information

Email contact@belloftheballreno.com and tell us what you want. You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, or delete it entirely. We may need to check you are the person who sent the enquiry — usually by replying from the same address you used. We aim to respond within a few business days, and there is no charge.

Nevada residents: the right to opt out of sale

Nevada law gives residents the right to tell a website operator not to sell their personal information. We do not sell personal information and never have, so there is nothing to opt out of. If you would like to submit a request anyway, or want that confirmed in writing, emailcontact@belloftheballreno.com with "Nevada opt-out" in the subject line and we will confirm.

Children

We plan a good many children's parties, but we deal with the adults arranging them. This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something through this form, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes to this notice

If we add anything to this site that collects or shares more than what is described above, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top before doing so.
